Dear Sunshine... How are you? How have you been?

It’s been awhile since you left, it has never been the same since

The weather here has been crazy, forecast is gloomy

Dark clouds came over last week and wouldn’t leave

Thought that was what I wanted, there was an air about her

A cool demeanour, our conversations were breezy

But when she poured her hearts out, that’s when I found out

Her wailing cries thundering, I couldn’t get out

That’s when I realised I’ve been taking you for granted

Should have been grateful but now I’ve seen the light

Days when I shunned from your heat, constantly seeking shelter

Now I need your warmth in my body, will you come back to me?

I missed the morning walks in the park, the chirping of the birds

Nature’s music to my ears, damn... I wished you were here

I’m writing you this letter with hope you shine my life again

Patiently waiting... with love...the Singapore Son
